Unfortunately, Subaru’s design team appear to be completely devoid of any original ideas lately, or the failure of the 1st gen Tribeca has left them running scared.

The ‘redesigned’ Tribeca is little more than the old one with far too many Chrysler-inspired styling cues, and this… This THING!

It took one of the most handsome 5-doors currently available, the Mazda3, and mutated it into one of the most hideous automotive aberrations yet conceived!

The last Impreza wasnt exactly a beauty queen. The interior was cheap and got dated really fast.
The new one is disappointing in terms of looks, but it might appeal to a more mature market.

jJay, not knowing which Mazda it reminds you of simply shows that you know nothing about which you speak. And, last time I looked, the Chrysler Sebring is not produced by Mazda, which your poorly constructed sentence implies.

I don’t see how this is a better design then the one it replaces… I actually liked Subaru’s “new age” design, it was agressive and unique to the brand…

Now this design looks like it comes from Chrysler, remescent of the Chrysler Sebring with it’s headlights, A pillar and forward! Actually, I take that back… it looks more bland than the Chrysler Sebring at that. The interior looks so cheap!

I would choose the existing model over this one, I really hope the rest of their lineup doesn’t get the same design.

Subaru has made the biggest blunder conceivable with this new styling and I believe the sales of the high performance version will be VERY badly affected.

However, the entry level cars, the buyers of which could not care less as to what their cars look like as long as they save a buck, will likely be attracted by the price cut.

I agree however, that this new and extraordinarily ugly car will be completely redesigned within 2 model years.

The price is competitive but the new styling is causing a near riot with current WRX owners. Something tells me Subaru has already gone back to the drawing board on this one.

They neglected to say that the cut was implemented to counteract the impulse to vomit when you see this thing. The new Impreza is the AMC Pacer of today.

It’s a better car than the Civic, and I think at least equal to the mazda3. I like subarus, because they’re tough.

They should come out with a 5-cylinder, 7-seat tribeca

The price cut makes it competitive against the Civic and Mazda3.
