I’m surprised the Camry isn’t higher on the list of most expensive. Wasn’t it the most stolen car in America that past few years? Maybe I’m getting my facts jumbled….

Why would the GMC Sierra be on the least expensive list, and the Chevy Silverado be on the Most Expensive. They are the same truck…

nobody like the GMC’s girly rounded look. Who buys a GMC? Nobody wants to steal it and look like a girl either.

Theives steal cars that are readily available.

There are way more Chebbie trucks out there, that’s why they’re stolen. It has nothing to do with the GMC model being the same truck.

Is this just for cheap cars? What price range does this list pertain to?

All cars. All price ranges. Not that it matters.

Thieves steal cars that are big-sellers. Look at the list.

There’s a huge market for replacement parts. Cars are stolen, stripped & parted out.

Expensive cars have fewer sales, thus there’s less demand for replacement parts. Plus there are fewer expensive cars on the roads to steal.

Maybe it also shows that thieves don’t really know that stealing an F-150 is the same as the Lincoln counterpart. Or stealing a Camry and Lexus ES, you would be able to sell the parts just as easy…thieves are after the PARTS.

I don’t see why they can’t lie and sell the transmission off a GMC can claim it’s from a Chevy. They are thieves after all.

Junkie, you are incoorect I’m affraid. This is a list of “Best Selling” vehicles. That is why you don’t see any sports cars there. If you thik that a Ford Focus is more expensive ton ensure than a F430, that is just insanity. Same goes for a more “pedestrain” vehichle like an Evo or WRX, which are WAY more expensive to ensure than a Focus.
