Lamborghini Miura concept

(Update: New Info Here) Photos are now available of Lamborghini's new 2007/2008 P400 Miura concept car. The new Miura looks much like the original, with decidedly retro styling. Previously, we cited an Auto Express report suggesting "the Miura will be as close to the original model as Ford's GT is to the classic GT40" -- this certainly appears to be the case. Rumors have suggested the car is based on the same underpinnings as the future Audi R8, itself adapted from Lambo's Gallardo. Rumors had placed horsepower from a V12 engine between 700 and 1000, but we have since learned it will use the Murcielago's V12 engine with 580 hp. Car Magazine quoted Lambo head Stephen Winkelmann as saying "we are not yet talking about production. But every project has its meaning." A photo gallery of the concept can be seen after the jump...
