Lamborghini commits to SUV; may still build Miura...

An SUV is the priority at Lamborghini, according to a report in the latest issue of AutoExpress. "There is more need for an SUV, and parent firm Audi produces the Q7, so for me, this is a better option than a 2+2," said Lambo president Stephan Winklemann. "I would like to do more, but we are a small company and can't build all the models we want at once." Winklemann also spoke about the Lamborghini Miura Concept his company unveiled earlier this month. Contrary to recent published reports indicating the Miura would not be built, Winklemann said a small production run now seems likely, due to strong demand from customers for the retro supercar. AutoExpress says the Miura will be on display again at the Geneva Motor Show, alongside the Gallardo Spyder and possibly an updated Murciélago.
