Ford GT discontinued; Sport Trac Adrenaline cancelled

As a part of its "Way Forward" plan, Ford will discontinued its GT supercar according to a report published this morning by the Detroit News. The car is currently built at the Wixom plant, which is scheduled to close next year under the company's restructuring plan. A spokesperson said the company had only planned a two year production run anyway, and that will end in September. Ford will also discontinued the Lincoln LS, according to the report. Lastly, it was reported that Ford has cancelled plans to build the high-performance Sport Trac Adrenaline. The last car to be discontinued will be the Lincoln Town Car. At that point, the Wixom plant will be idled.
