Could the 2008 Lexus BS look like this?

In December, we cited an Automobilwoche report suggesting Lexus planned to build a competitor to the BMW 1-Series called the "Lexus BS." With certain variants of the 1-Series expected to come to the United States, it's no surprise Lexus wants a piece of the pie. For an idea of how the car might look, check out this particularly good computer rendering by Tim de Graag. The image shows how the four-door hatch could look. It's unclear if Lexus plans to follow BMW's lead and build coupe and cabriolet version of the compact car. For U.S. market acceptance, a coupe and convertible would likely be necessary.
