New artists' rendering of Audi's answer to the Mini

The latest issue of Germany's AutoBild magazine has an artists rendering how how the Audi A1/A2 might look. According to a recent report by the magazine, Audi is working on a small car to compete with the Mini, which is owned and engineered by BMW. Last week, some Audi fan sites published photos purportedly of an A1 design concept, but those proved to be a hoax. While we wouldn't put too much faith in this particular AutoBild rendering, we suspect their sources are correct about a Mini competitor, which might could appear as a 2008, 2009, or 2010 model.
