Maserati considers less expensive models

Italian carmaker Maserati is considering diversifying its lineup with more affordable cars, an SUV, and diesel models, according to WhatCar? magazine. CEO Karl-Heinz Kalbfell said the Kubang Concept shown in 2003 could be introduced as a production model. He also said the company aims to introduce affordable models between 50,000 and Ã'£65,000. Maserati also said today it will offer a regular automatic transmission with its Quattroporte sedan in response to complaints over its clutchless-manual gearbox.
