Spied: Up close with the 2007 BMW M3

An unidentified spy photographer got up close to a 2007 BMW M3 prototype, which was parked in a parking lot. Over the last few weeks, several similar cars have been spotted in testing. The car can be distinguished from 3-Series coupe prototypes by its widened fenders, quad tailpipes, and (covered) side gills. The new M3 is expected to have a 400+ horsepower V8 engine derived from the company's high-performance V10. It's not clear when BMW plans to unveil the new M3, or even the 3-Series coupe for that matter. Some have speculated that BMW could show the new 3er and M3 at the same time, but there is no specific evidence to confirm that theory.
