Report: Ford Focus RS still on the table

Last summer, it was reported that Ford had killed plans for the all-wheel-drive Focus RS. However, the latest issue of Auto Express magazine indicates that the company is pushing ahead with the model, and is in the final stages of testing. Spied in cold-weather testing, the RS is believed to have the same 300 hp engine as the current Volvo S60R performance sedan. 0-60 mph should take around 5 seconds, according to the report. The car will also get Volvo's Four-C chassis technology and all-wheel-drive from the S60. According to the report, Ford has decided it can't abandon the project, and will likely release the limited-production vehicle for the 2008 model year.
