McLaren-tuned Viper to see production?

The ASC Diamondback Dodge Viper -- first shown at the Detroit auto show in January -- could be put into production, according to AutoWeek. The 615 hp concept featured a carbon fiber roof, deck lid, rockers, fascia inserts, body trim and a massive OmniCarbon hood. Recently, a prototype has been spotted in testing with similar with a similar ventilated hood. According to the magazine, power is up to 650 hp, and 0-60 is accomplished in 3.5 seconds. The model could be offered during the 2007 model year, when Dodge plans to halt production of the regular Viper in preparation for production of the next-generation model.
