Suzuki kills slow-selling Verona sedan

Suzuki has discontinued its slow-selling Verona family sedan, according to President Koichi Suzuki. Suzuki also told Automotive News that the automaker will reintroduce the Swift hatchback in 2010 to compete with subcompact offerings from other Japanese automakers. He further indicated that Nissan will provide Suzuki with a small pickup for the U.S. market, which will sell as a 2008 model. Suzuki this year is aiming to sell 100,000 vehicles in the United States for the first time.
