Challenger decision this fall, CEO says

Chrysler CEO Tom LaSorda says a decision on whether to build a production version of the Dodge Challenger Concept will likely come this fall. As other executives have said, Chrysler is still working on the business case for the project. "With something like this, you chase the business case and not the volume," LaSorda told Automotive News. Previous reports have suggested the Challenger will be relatively low volume, with a V8 engine and manual transmission being the only configuration. Research firm Global Insight predicts just 20-30,000 Challengers will be built each year, with a price tag in the low-$30,000 range.
