Report: Boss Mustang in the works

Ford is working on a Boss version of the Mustang, positioned between the GT and GT500 models, according to the latest issue of Motor Trend. With around 390 horsepower via a 5.0-liter V8, the Boss Mustang will go on sale before the current model goes out of production. It will be lighter than the GT500 'Stang, and oriented toward track and racing use. The car will likely be used to keep the S197 Mustang in the spotlight right up until its successor arrives in 2008 or 2009.
