2007 Infiniti G35 sedan rated at 306 hp SAE

In April, Nissan unveiled the 2007 Infiniti G35 sedan to the public, but did not provide specific details about the car's engine. At the time, the automaker said it would simply feature the next-generation VQ-series 3.5-liter DOHC V6. Infiniti has since confirmed the engine will have 306 horsepower as certified by the new SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standards. Power should be considerably greater than that of the previous non-SAE 298 horsepower engine. It's also worth pointing out that the next-generation coupe -- based on the Infiniti Coupe Concept -- will not be sold as a 2007 model, but rather as a 2008. Infiniti lists the 2007 G35 Coupe with identical specs to the 2006 model. There is some speculation that the 2008 coupe will go by the name of Infiniti G37, and offer slightly more displacement and power than the sedan. The G37 trademark was registered by Nissan in January.
