Spied: 2007/2008 BMW 3-Series sedan facelift (335i Sedan)

Spy photographer Hans G. Lehmann caught the 2007/2008 BMW 3-Series sedan sans disguise today in Germany. The car is almost certainly a 335i turbo model. The car was first spotted driving up and down a mountain road with a disguise over the front end. The engineers later decided to take off the tape covering the front fascia and grille, revealing the car’s new nose. As shown in the photos, the car receives a new grille and front apron. At the rear, twin tailpipes indicate a 335i model. Gallery after the jump…

It seems someone decided by accident to add a Bangle crease to the front door.

No, that front is beginning to morph into a Dodge “in your face” nose. Not bad, imo, but the rear looks a bit like a Mercedes now… :-|

Looks horrible, before there was a hint of class to their body style. now it just looks like they slammed the front-end inwards.

The coupe what pushed out in the center witch looks great. Aggressive like the old 325s but this is way to far. I wonder if there just puting this out to trick us sometimes they will do this. Think about it. Usually you only see pictures of there new cars about two months before there out. This wouldnt come untill 2008? Seems odd to me. I dont trust this. Plus no tape? They would never let it go around open if this was real.

I think the dual exhausts work better with the sedan’s rear than the coupe’s, but I don’t like the front

LOL Bush - no that was no accident - that is Bangle’s latest series of design cues - soon it will be the rage - everyone will drive their cars into poles to create new, truly unique creases that have never been seen before.

Didn’t you know that Bangle’s primary design technique is to take a good-looking BMW, crash-test it personally into many walls and poles, then study the resultant creases to turn into his next ’signature’ design. And you thought there was a method to his madness - now you know why his next move and design truly cannot be predicted!

Time to un-Bangle the BMW design department. BMW is carrying Chris Bangle, not the other way around…and its time to bring it to a stop. While we’re at it, did they fix the hideous interior?

Ricardo hit the nail on the head. BMW needs to fire their designers and their product planners for letting this crap out. I guess that they want to make sure that BMW is known for its engines and its handling and thats all. Certainly not its styling.

Another unrelated thing about BMW: They have removed their dipstics from the transmissions and made all the tranny fluid “lifetime”. Liftetime.. yeah right. No such thing. They want you to wear their cars out so that you’ll buy another one. That idea must have come from a former Ford employee.

Guys, really… don’t expect much style from something under 50K. The new 3 series was ugly as hell to begin with. The whole point of this car is to be used as an abusable toy, not something to go around showing off cruising.

Hmm….Certainly looks more aggressive than the current sedan front end; my guess is that they’re trying to enhance the resemblance between the sedan and coupe.

Why are we still looking at “Spy” shots. Here is a “real” 2007 335i sedan. This is a US spec one from a guy who just took delivery in Germany. Same looking car as the 06 except dual tail-pipes.
