Saleen may tune more than Fords

Popular tuner Saleen is open to working with automakers other than Ford, founder Steve Saleen told Ward’s Auto. “It has to make business sense and fit in with our philosophy and appropriate branding, but we’re looking at other opportunities and only time will tell,” he said. Saleen also commented on Ford’s financial troubles. “Ford is not causing us problems, but its problems are something we’re watching closely,” he said. Saleen didn’t elaborate on any future products from other automakers, but there is some speculation the tuner may offer a customized version of the 2009 Chevy Camaro. In late May, images leaked online of a customized 2009 Camaro that will star in the forthcoming “Transformers” movie. The car had a Saleen license plate.

Saleen… Power in the hands of a fool. Saleen Mustangs are nothing more than GTs with lots of extremely overpriced accessories. He’s almost as big a joke as Shelby is today (not to discredit what Shelby did in the 60s but lately he’s become a marketing whore).

This car looks ****. The camaro ain’t worth the first look let alone the second. If the production car looks anything like this then good luck to GM, they will need it. Rather take a challenger anyday!

What is this “Pimp my IROC” or “Pimp my Hickmobile”. I could never own a Camaro newer than 1969 for the mere fact that I have all my teeth and no mullet. This thing gonna come with an 8-track?

maybe their first mod should be some freaking brake calipers. i hear they are useful for a car to have when you are planning on “stopping”.

How can you seriously say the Camaro looks like crap…If Ray Charles was alive he’d give that Chevrolet two thumps up. I don’t plan on purchasing one, but you got to give props when you see something that looks this good.
