Ford to end production of Focus wagon (updated)

Ford will end production of its American Focus wagon in December of this year, according to a bulletin posted on the automaker's Fleet website. The wagon is the lowest volume model in the Focus lineup, with a large number of units going to fleet sales. For the 2007 model year, Ford will -- pardon the pun -- focus on the four-door sedan and three- and five-door hatchbacks. "We want to align our product offerings with customer demand," the company explained. The last orders will be taken November 20th.

Last week, we brought you the first spy photos of the 2008 Ford Focus sedan and coupe. The two-door coupe will be a new addition to the Focus range for the 2008 model year and onward.
