Early look: 2007 John Cooper Works Mini

Some initial imagery of the new John Cooper Works special edition Mini Cooper have surfaced online. The appearance kit is the first of its kind for the next-generation Mini, which was unveiled earlier this year.

The kit includes a new front fascia, black grille, sporty side sills, a new rear fascia with an integrated diffuser, 19 inch wheels, a large rear spoiler, and carbon fiber treatments throughout.

Inside, there are sporty seats and chequered floor mats. Brakes have been upgraded and additional bracing improves overall stiffness. Rumors suggest availability could begin as early as spring 2007, or as late as 2008. Gallery after the jump...
