The front it could do without. The introduction time frame may in reality have little to do with the above design by the time it all happens. The Alfa will unlikely be able to compete with BMW. It has not happened in the past and will most likely not happen in any forseeable future. Being a beautiful car due to the design factor, it still lacks the quality and the solidity of current BMW products. Alfa would be best in presented modern form with hints from the 33 stradale. Stratos-like windshield, mid V-8, low, small (see AM Vantage, but much, much lower) and beautiful to die for. In fact Alfa for its good should recreate a 33 Stradale, with magnesium and composite parts in a package rivaling the current Audi subdivision lineup. It needs to have a flagship unit specifically for the image-perceptive make-belief american market. Next a modern version of Lancia MonteCarlo should follow even if with just an available 3.2L V-6 variant, all by Pininfarina of course, but with at least i.e. market first carbon double a-wishbone suspension to excite the market. Ahhh, dreams, dreams...

That nose...it's worse than Subaru's. Alfa ought to sell the whole design to Audi USA, which should keep everything but the front end for a new A4 wagon.
