How does the CX-7 have more features? Fully loaded it has everything the same but the RDX has a more advanced drivetrain and comes with a standard CD Changer and moonroof. The RDX is meant to compete with the X3 and embarasses it. The X3 doesn’t even come with heated or leather seats.

The RDX is based on the new CRV platform. The RDX is loaded and really nice and compares with the CX-7. Small, efficient, sporty crossovers are the wave of the future.

10 grand less? You can’t even compare the two then they’re not in the same class. That’s like comparing a 4 cylinder accord to a 330i. The base version of the CX-7 will get you no features and a front wheel drive unreliable SUV. If you’re gonna compare that price level you compare it with the CR-V. Prices matter.

I like it but I would choose Mazda CX-7 just because of better styling

Gary Evert makes an observation about the Acura RDX that some people within earshot cannot believe: “It is not based on the CR-V platform.†As Large project leader (a.k.a., chief engineer) of the RDX, he knows more than a little something about what it is based on or not. “It is a new platform.†In fact, there is nothing else that uses the platform.

Might be similar in size, but the RDX and CRV share little to nothing in common. Plus its got SH-AWD. woooooot.

ehhh I don’t care, loaded it is nearly 40k, that’s way too expensive, not a great perceived value at all

Well, I for one love it. The upcoming CR-V is supposed to be based on the same platform but it won’t come with the same engine or have the upscale interior.

And as far as a 50K X3? What a waste!

I thought the RDX was pretty ugly, that is, until I saw the new X5.

RDX is one of the sharper crossovers on the market. SH-AWD is a gem and a turbo motor should be quite a hoot to drive. SHould sell every single one that hets built.

I work at the HONDA plant in marysville ohio, where we build these things. And I can tell you they’re top notch. The interior is what sold me on the car, not to mention-the turbo, with SH-awd and paddle shifters to boot!

I went to Acura dealership and sat in it. I liked it, but the sales staff did not even make the slightest move at helping me. The hell with them, I’m always welcomed at my local Bimmer dealership. (this was on the north side in Indianapolis)
