I see nothing about towing capacity, it better do at least 3500 lbs. The biggest problem with the CX7, other than the crappy fuel economy, is the lousy towing capacity. Even my 5 year old Escape can tow 3500 lbs. The estimated fuel ecoomy on this thing is less than my V6 escape with its antiquated 4s automatic. Why are you all so impressed. I feel another Fridgline experience coming

mazda cx-7 is cheaper with more features & the only thing I want is renamed as cx-5 because it seats 5 & the latter one as cx-7 instead of cx-9.

Man, this is sooo sad. Ugly outside, a mazda tribute front end and a toyota previa/acura tsx end. The interior is alright. Does Acura do the public appeal tests?

Rear end looks really nice and Acura-ish. Front looks like a Saturn. I predict a face lift on the front end within two years

You cudda said it was the next Saturn and the Saturn show truck was the next Acura; how’s that for a turn-around. I was expecting more. It’s the size truck I’m looking for.

I think it looks “good” and no better than that. But it’ll be a more exciting application of SH-AWD, which combined with the turbo should be really interesting!

I see it going up against the BMW X3, which means its styling is plenty good enough.

When you aren’t into boost – which is tha vast majority of the time – the engine will offer the fuel efficieny of a 2.4L 4-cylinder.

When under boost, it will require more fuel. Peak power is rarely required for street driving, and the engine is under vacuum (not boost) for most steady-state driving. So a small-displacement, forced-induction engine tends to offer the best of both worlds: good MPG (most of the time) and good power (when you need it).

We all know that EPA mileage estimates are almost worthless. My guess is that in real-world driving, the turbo 4 will offer greater MPG than a larger engine of similar output. Which is exactly what BMW has proposed with their recent announcement of smaller engines, often with turbos, for their future.

Interesting that Acura is getting back into turbos. This would be a first high-torque 4-banger for Acura. The car is non-offensive; nice, but not breathtaking.
