Also a sad fact alot of the JGTC GT300 cars are way faster than alot of DTM vehicles. For an exhibition Nissan/Honda brought over the V6/V8 powered cars to see how competitive these two classes are and the Jaapanese totally blew the germans away.

DTM needs atleast 3 manufacturers atleast it states that in their rulebook. Audi is still fighting to have quattro, Opel left, Alfa may return soon, Merc has always showcased their cars here but have an endless amount of money to put in their car which in past years costs have skyrocketed.

Stig, of course it won’t look beaten up after a few races, this isn’t some clubman series we’re talking about here, its one of the world’s leading series, its where Michael Schumacher came from, recent drivers include Mika Hakkinen and Jean Alesi.

V-series, I can’t argue with your ranking, that’s your opinion, although I think that what you want from a car is very different from what I do.

I won’t bother argueing with your statement that “the 2008 CTS will wipeout (sic) every other small luxury sedan”, I’ll just place any money you want on a bet that the 3-series, A4 & C-class will all be around and doing very nicely in a few years’ time. I’ll even give you odds that the global sales of each will be better than the CTS.

You’re right, my bad, I forgot abot the SCCA Speed GT series (and the American Le Mans for that matter, although that’s technically sports car racing, difference?).
NASCAR has so much publicity that it makes it seem as if there are no other racing series in the US. It would be cool if you wouldn’t have to study the cars and look at the writing just to tell what make they are driving, you differntiate them a little bit.

There is no way all those rubbish American barges would stand up to a proper car like a BMW or Mercedes. BMW rules, and Mercedes is great as well. Audi’s have classy design and are also excellent cars.
This C racer looks great. I’m sure AMG will do well with it.

I’m sort of a fan of the new C-class, although the 2008 CTS will wipeout every other small luxury sedan. This is how I rank them:
1. 2008 Cadillac CTS (by a long shot)
2. 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-class
3. BMW 335i
4. Infiniti G35 (new one)
5. Acura (whatever it’s called, I don’t pay attention to Acura cars)
6. Lexus IS (this car sucks)
7. Audi A4 (this car sucks even more)

I’ve always thought the DTM cars looked pretty cool. Why can’t they have a Touring Car race series in the US instead of the stupid NASCRAP?

I love the DTM cars. It’s cool how they’re purpose built race cars but you can still actually see the real car underneath. Is the whole body made out of carbon fiber? That’s pretty sweet.

Why doesn’t Nascar do a car like that just with domestics, now that would be cool. Removing all the identity from their cars disassociates people from the production makes. I want real headlights and taillights and real production based powertrains. I just don’t want to watch foreign cars, Nascar I know you are not listening. Of course I wonder how much this thing costs compared to a COT.
