2007 BMW 3-Series coupe (E92) spied with no disguise

02/07/2006, 12:06 PM

By admin

The U.K.’s AutoCar magazine (subscribe) has published photos of the new 2007 (E92) BMW 3-series coupe, without any disguise or camouflage. The photo only shows the rear of the car, which has also been the most debated aspect. As it turns out, the rumors were correct, and the coupe has received an entirely new taillight design. We expect the official announcement from BMW very soon, possibly in the next few weeks. The introduction of the coupe is expected to include the announcement of a new 300+ horsepower engine for the 335i and 335Ci models. (Recent spy photos give a pretty good idea of how the front end will look.)

Strange seeing the badge so close to the model #. Its like the M Coupe. If this is a 3 coupe then whats it doing with 2 rear tail pipes? So we’re getting a 335i but the real question is how much? $45k?

Its tail lights are reminiscent of the Lexus IS.
I suppose the IS beat the BMW coupe to market.

Yeah Jim, BMW has been pokey slo these days bringing core products to market. I remember when the 3 was only available in a coupe, they seem to think the 3 series is really the 5 series anymore. Hopefully they’ve done something with that horrible E90 dashboard.
