2007 Ford Escape spied

03/16/2006, 8:36 AM

By admin

Spy photographers at KGP Photography captured photos of the 2007 Ford Escape in testing, sans disguise. The compact truck has been updated with a new headlight and grille design to reflect Ford’s new design language. So far, there’s only one photo of the car, but we’ll keep you posted as the story develops.

What you cannot see: there’s two middle-aged ladies in it doing the testing.

I like the Ford Edge and the front will look fine on the Escape. It’s the green house and rear that concern me. Still too “truck-like”?

Yes, the grille is terrible… Considering the current model is showing its age, they needed a bit more of an upgrade than this to compete against the Rav4’s, Santa Fe’s, etc of the world… Ford is really stuck in neutral… Save for clean sheet stuff like the Focus or Edge, they’re just not moving the needle for me with anything else…

Looks like they tacked on the grille of an older model Ford Ranger pickup.
