The disguise is slowly peeling off the ultra-luxury 2007 Mercedes CL-Class coupe. Spy photographers in Sweden captured some very clear images of a near-production prototype in final cold-weather testing. Much of the disguise has been removed, and most of the cars lines are now visible. The overall shape of the body looks like a combination of the new Mercedes CLS-Class and S-Class. The hood and tail seem to borrow from the CLS, while the windows seem to take inspiration from the S-Class. A formal unveiling is scheduled for the Geneva Motor Show at the beginning of March. The lineup is expected to include a CL63 AMG model with the company’s new 6.3-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine, without output around 510 horsepower.
