2007 Mercedes SLK-Class Sports Package

08/01/2006, 11:10 AM

By admin

Mercedes-Benz has introduced a new sports package for the 2007 Mercedes SLK-Class. A lowered sports suspension with 18-inch wheels, a more beefy braking system, an AMG breakaway edge at the rear and, as an option, the new 7G-TRONIC Sport automatic transmission with steering-wheel shift paddles improve the agile handling characteristics of the Roadster even further. In models equipped with V6 engines, a specially developed air filter creates an even more throaty sound. The most noticeable highlights in the interior include red seat belts, red topstitching, black roof lining and carbon-like black trim. Depending on the engine version, sports package for the SLK-Class is between 1,148.40 and 1,612.40 euros. So far, no word on U.S. pricing or availability. Gallery after the jump…

WTH, every other post on here is about some new special edition SLK. Why? Do a lot of chicks and hairdressers frequent LeftLaneNews??

It looks sharp. The current package doesn’t measure up to this one.

Plus it isn’t a special edition…just because you can’t afford it #2, doesn’t mean its special edition.

The new SLK is definitely not a chicks car. I like that term “beefy brakes” lol…

The SLK is a chick car next to the Pontiac Solstice or Saturn Sky. But nothing says hairspray and lipstick more than the Miata or Z4

al, that means the car has lots of gay interest. that makes no mention to sales via female drivers.

anonymous is just a meathead. i can sense he has no taste or sense of elegance.

# 6: Youse must be joking?! The Solstice is the ‘most wanted’ car on MySpace, replacing the Cabrio as the Chippie’s graduation present supreme. If I had a 16yr old – I’d buy her one in a heartbeat to show what a good dad I was. No young man with a full sack would be seen on one.

The SLK was pretty whimpy; it’s certainly better now.

al. you are an idiot. The list you mention was not sales. It was merely ’searches’ on an gay-based website. You forget that every car on the list was a new vehicle. The caliber was also on that list… so would you say that is a gay car, despite the so-called ‘anti-gay’ silly-fairy add?

reading comprehension 101, check your local community college for availability.

asshat.

HAVE ANY OF YOU GUYS OR GALS THAT TRASH THIS CAR ACTUALLY DRIVEN ONE OR RUN IT ON A TRACK? I’LL BE THE FIRST TO SAY THAT I DID NOT LIKE THIS CAR AT ALL I LIKE MOST OTHERS SAID IT WAS A GIRLS CAR UNTIL I ran it through a salom course. THE CAR HANDLES GREAT, AND HAS GREAT EXCELLARATION. I WAS INVIETED TO AN EVENT CALLED THE AMG CHALLEGE, WHERE WE GOT TO DRIVE MOST OF THE AMG LINE UP AND SOME OF THE COMPITION ALL OF THE CARS WHERE PAIRED WITH A DRIVER FROM THE RICHARD PETTY DRIVING SCHOOL, MOST OF WHICH THOUGHT THE SLK 55 WAS A GREAT TRACK CAR
