Spied again: 2008 Porsche Boxster face-lift

Almost a year ago, spy photographers spotted an updated Porsche Boxster prototype undergoing some winter testing, but the car has been kept under wraps for the past 12 months. But today, spy photographers captured the first image of the new Boxster without any cover.

The new car features a redesigned front bumper with LED daylight driving lights. The front fascia has a lower, more flowing shape and includes revised headlights and a new bumper.

Thanks to some computer work, the few strips of tape covering the rear lights have been removed and reveal the new shape of the LED taillights.

Details on the car's technical and interior changes remain unclear, but it is believed that the Boxster's engines will be updated with direct injection. The new Porsche Boxster is expected to launch in 2008 replacing the 2004 facelift.
