Spied: Iosis X-based Ford crossover

Spy photographers have snapped the first photos of Ford's new C1 platform crossover, which will get a sporty look similar to the Mazda CX-7. The so-called lifestyle SUV is believed to be based on the Iosis X Concept.





The Iosis-X was first seen at the Paris Motor Show last fall, and Ford''s European President John Fleming said a production version would come to market in 18 months.

The name of the new car isn't known and the prototype on the photos is still disguised to conceal the final styling. The car has been designed in Europe, and is scheduled for release at this fall's Frankfurt Motor Show.
