Toyota FSC Rumored For Production

According to Winding Road, Toyota is planning to produce the FSC crossover-style concept car. The FSC - "Flexible Saloon Concept" - will be loosely based on Toyot's Camry, but will look very much like the concept car shown below. The FSC was originally introduced at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show and while production rumors were flowing after its showing in '05, the rumor mill quieted down until now.

They report that some of the concept's features, such as its ambient interior lighting and its electrically folding rear seating, could make it into production. The FSC

Under the hood, engine choices are expected to mirror the Camry: a 158-horsepower 2.4 liter four-cylinder, a 268-horsepower 3.5 liter V6 and a 147-horsepower 2.4 liter four-cylinder hybrid.

Rumor has it that the FSC will enter production this coming September, but there has been no official word on pricing or availability. The original FSC show car was right-hand-drive as it was shown initially in Japan.
