2007/2008 BMW M3 spied

03/16/2006, 9:35 AM

By admin

Yesterday we received a new spy shot of what is purportedly a prototype of the 2007/2007 BMW M3 coupe. While we cannot definitively guarantee the authenticity of the photo, we believe it is real. The image is believed to be of the new M3, as evidenced by the distinctive quad-tailpipes — a feature only seen on BMW’s “M” vehicles. Moreover, the car appears to have widened wheel arches. While it’s difficult to determine from just one photo, this certainly appears to be the case. Lastly, there appears to be some type of camouflage on the front quarter-panel — the exact location where BMW “M” cars usually have side gills. Given all these characteristics, we suspect this may be an actual M3 prototype, as opposed to a test “mule.” If the vehicle was a mule, it would not have production-style wheel arches, nor would it have side gills. If this is indeed the new M3, then it goes against recent reports by Germany’s Autobild magazine that indicated the M3 would get a unique body style. It’s also unusual to see a prototype with so little disguise in testing at this time. While the release of the 2007 3-Series coupe (see spy shots) is imminent, the M3 was not expected until some time next year. See the images after the jump.

I hope they get rid of that text. I am not going to buy a car with text plastered all over its body.

That’s the car im waiting for, I dont care how long it takes. Alpine white, competition package, navigation, fully loaded with a case of Caronas in the trunk.

its Coronas…and any beer made in Mexico should cost $2 a six pak because they only have to pay their workers $10 a week with no retirement or health care. Modello is a much better Mexican beer though, but Corona has the marketing dollars so the zombies line up for it.

I have had a BMW for seven years and am waiting for a change in body style I like. It seems that the Honda has the BMW style now, they are all taking on the same body style, why pay $50,000 for a car when you can get a look alike? I want the BMW to come back with a look they they will keep true to themselves. They could put more space in the front of the car for CD’S. I love my car and will keep it until the body style comes back around to the great style it once had. May havw to wait for the 08.

love my 03 m3 convertible, it is a bit slow on 0-60…5.3 seconds, but nothing hangs in the curves with it! Don’t care about HP, but 0-60 needs to be around 4.5 to keep pace with competition coming out in 2007…dont let us down!
