DaimlerChrysler showed a short promotional video during its press conference at the Geneva Motor Show yesterday, featuring a number of its popular new vehicles. Among the slew of production models was a short clip of a never-before-seen Dodge model. The car is believed to be the Dodge Avenger or Stratus, a sibling vehicle to the 2007/2008 Chrysler Sebring (see recent spy shots). The car appears to be finished, suggesting it may appear as a 2007 model. See front and rear images after the jump…

You guys should give Allpar credit…that’s where these pics came from.

The images did not come from Allpar, they came directly from the DCX video on their media site.
Allpar is a great site, though.

Funny that this should appear right after the post on Allpar, though.

Well, we saw the video on DCX this morning, but thought nothing if it. Then we got a tip in the inbox that there Avenger was in the video, so we took a second look.

LLN rocks! It’s part of my daily news intake, like the New York Times and the local paper.

Also, Dodge Stratus suck, as do the Chrysler Sebrings.

Looks like the Charger and the Magnum had a child. And Nick is an instigator.

Nick is not an instigator. It is a fact that this was first exposed on Allpar and they were the first to post this information. Congratulations Left Lane, I no longer will be coming here for “exclusives”.

Looks like the front of a Caliber with a Charger rear. Hopefully they’ll drop a HEMI into it. And hopefully they will they’ll steal sales from the Camry and Accord.

It will never be as sexy as the 1995-2000 Dodge Avenger. And it’s only slightly less boxy than the Rally-style concept they tried to shove down our throats in 2003.
I miss aerodynamic cars. Seriously.
Why the hell even release it if it looks JUST like the Charger and the Caliber?

Have a 96 Avenger, love it. Glad they’re bringing the “Avenger” back even though it’s totally different. I like the sports coupe better. Was never crazy about the name Stratus – a car named after a cloud isn’t manly enough.

it better be two door.
I have a 2000 Avenger and it rocks. Making the avenger a sebring rebadge is no good.

Seeing Dodge’s record they are going to make a decent car, the old Avenger, a pile of crap. Doesn’t surprise me though, DCX’s track record shows making good things come out like crap.

What was the Plymouth version of the old avenger called? I seriously think there is great brand equity in the PLymouth name and DCx should bring it back

i had a 99 sebring, 2003 stratus 4dr and a 05 stratus coupe. the question is why dodge is making the same version of its cars but in different sizes?
