To people comparing the interior to other cars...do you want them to reinvent the wheel? Maybe have the gauges center-mounted on a nice trash-can shaped console like the Nissan Quest?

I hope this is a sport model with all of that faux metal. I look at the new Lexus IS as a starting point when looking at this spy shot. The dash shape is different and vertical vents are a modern Caddy element, but the whole center stack having a metallic look to it is similar. Lexus went ahead and added wood on the area around the shifter and i'm sure wood can also be found around the cabin in well thought out areas. I hope Cadillac does the same. Don't get me wrong, I this this new design is excellent. But I do also think that Caddys should have at least a little wood in the interior.

They'll find a way to screw this car up. By the time the bean counters get to it, the interior will be reduced to a cheap imitation of a Kia Optima.

And GM will still price it in line with a BMW 3-series. Just watch.

Nice job from the usually hopeless GM design studios. Let us hope that this is the start of something big in GM.

The shape of the center console - Acura TL, the air ducts - Infiniti and the steering wheel, well - GM. Looks 1000x better than the old one, but looks like an interior from a japanese car. I wish they'd come up with something of their own.

I'd wager this is a "V" series considering the leather on the dash. Although it's definitley a step in the right direction.

looks like it is a v-series racing model so a regular CTS might be toned down a bit. I sell them and I think it looks great and I bet the customer's will also. Big improvment from the current model.

I like it, it's a huge improvement over the current one. Next they have to work on the exterior, the current batch of Caddies is just plain ugly. Why can't GM take a few cues from Cadillac? Despite their lack of design ability, they show no signs of slowing down when it comes to building cars that can actually compete in the marketplace (the complete opposite of Lincoln).

Jei this should have been the interior the car should have had in the first place i LOVE the way they are going with this but im going to agree with #2 and reserve judgement untill we see the final product hopefully they wont screw up a beautiful half german half japanese design with a lack a least standard quality materials. but i would never pay more just because they caught up - this has to be either the same price or less to get me in one knowing the competition will prolly be 1 step ahead and more refined

On the design standpoint, it looks great! I am so glad the column shifter and bar speedos are things of Cadillacs not so shining past. If interior fit and finish and quality of surfaces are up to par with its competition than I think Cadillac will finally be on its way to competeing with the imports and can be a company Americans can be proud of, both in owning and driving....BUT we will still have to wait and see....

It looks ok we'll have to reserve judgement until we see what the fit, finish, materials and the tactile action of the switches are like in production. The switches to the left of the steering wheel don't look great.
