The newer lower fascia seems a little non-descript; it doesn’t complement the rest of the car well. Although the rear is a clean, classic design, it seems less distinctive as before.

Also, I don’t know if whoever wrote this is British, but I found it funny that the word “colours” was used. New rule? When writing about British cars use British spelling?

I love the idea of Jaguar, but frankly Ford ought to be embarassed that this car is carrying the flag for the marque, after nearly 10 years on the market.

And as for the facelift, it is so subtle as to be invisible. Good job, Bill Ford and team.

Only two more years til the replacement which – wait for it – - – is based on the OLD CHASSIS!! jesus it is sad just writing it….

This is quite the subtle facelift, however I like the interior, its certainly been cleaned up a bit, I also like the various wood choices, they look good. However this is an aging car, an aging design, and an aging platform. In reality the S-Type, while it has the look of sophistication and typical Jag sportiness/elegance, falls far, far short of the class leaders, and ultimately fails in sophistication, luxury, and sportiness, the 3 things it most desperately needs to compete in such a competitive segment. I wish the replacement for it was going to be an all new, 100% redesigned model, but alas its not, looks like Jag’s midsize luxo sport sedan is most likely going to be down and out once again..
