You can also demo City Safe in the new Volvo XC60. The system will stop the car before you hit something when traveling less than 10mph. When the car applies the brakes by itself it's the weirdest feeling.

Not a bad show, and the imports from Japan really ruled this show.

GM and Ford had a huge presence, but you could've mistaken it for a funeral for the somber mood they had. The Nissan and Mini booth had more people than all of the GM booth combined.

The only highlights there for GM were the Camaro (Nice, but missed the target by just this much...), the Volt (It's uglier in real life and everyone laughed at the $40K asking price) and the Corvette area. I was surprised that nobody was hanging around the Pontiac Solstice Coupe or the G8 Sports Truck (it is a good looking machine, if not a little bit weird).

Ford's booth had some cool stuff including the 2010 Mustang (OK on the outside, a brilliantly updated interior...just stunning) and the Fusion. A little shocked to see the F-150 Raptor kinda hidden away in the far end of the booth (I love it, it's just about as manly-man as all get-go).

The Chrysler booth (actually just an area, they just parked a bunch of cars with no real booth presence....) was of course dominated by the Challenger of every color. They had the Jeep concept, but not much else.

The winner for the nicest booth goes to Scion, with Nissan as a close second. The worst goes to Chrysler, with BMW coming in a close second for the most boring set up.

If you're attending, don't miss the after market booth in the basement. There are more Lambo's and Aston's down there than at their own booth and the Boss Hoss booth has a nasty looking bike called the V-Rex, worth the price of admission just to see that bike..

What a ho-hum auto show. The only interesting reveals were the Mazda3 and Lexus RX. Everything else is just recycled crapola (Mustang, Z, G6, and Fu-mi-KZ) or U.S. debuts (Cube and Fiesta).
