2008 Mercedes C-Class Coupe rendering

06/01/2006, 11:03 AM

By admin

With nearly undisguised sedan prototypes running around, it wouldn’t be terribly hard to predict what the 2008 Mercedes C-Class Coupe will look like. And that’s just what Germany’s AutoBild magazine has done. The latest issue of the magazine has an artist’s rendering of the forthcoming hatchback on the cover. See the cover scan after the jump…

Looks like an Olds Alero from the rear. How special.

Nothing impressive. It looks simple and predictable.

I like the new grille, but fenders on the rendering are way off. Overall, I think it will be a nice car but given competition, it won’t put MB on top.

MB’s for the most part are not as “special” as they used to be. Too common now.

Nice chick car. And at least the C-pillar from the front view is more reminiscent of the original CLK, which was a nice and unique car in it’s day…

I love it. At least Mercedes-Benzes don’t look like bad chryslers any more. Only Chryslers and Dodges look like bad CHryslers now.

Benz’s are everywhere. I wish they’d finally shed the luxury and exclusivity facade that they’ve had in the States. They are almost as ubiquitous as they are in Europe, although I don’t see Benz taxi, ambulances and police cars here. I don’t mind that they have the upper-crust line, but they certainly don’t offer the lower-cost line here nor are their vehicles extraoridnary anymore. Their quality is sub-par to how they used to be. There isn’t any incentive to purchase one. They’re not exclusive, they don’t have superb quality and most of their designs are ordinary (ultra high-end doesn’t count).

This is just an artistic rendering I would not base your opinions on a drawing of what some car magazine thinks it will look like.

There are no undisguised C Class coupe prototypes running around unless you mean CL, but this isn’t a CL rendering either, so not sure what you guys are talking about….

looks very nice, but it’s only an artist rendering, so there’s a chance it will look slightly different when it comes out. however, i think it will be a very good car and i would definitely buy it over the bmw 3-series coupe

Why are you arguing over an artists rendering? Shouldn’t we wait to see what the final design looks like before passing judgment?

The rear end is too similar to current m-b product so you know it has to be wrong and the rendering sure does look like it was photoshopped over an alero picture

looks like a marshmellow, looks like a Ford, looks like a… blah blah blah. Looks like every other car on the road… just take off the 3-pointed star and you’ll see what I mean.

Why you people don’t realize that car companies will stop making these boring looking cars only if people stop buying them. There won’t be another Camry if nobody buys them. eom.

they said nearly undisguised, not completely, and yes there are some NEARLY undisguised photos floating around. the front looks sharp, the rear could use some spicing up.
