Oh Yeah NFMOGM there were no GM fans at the show the Chicago Autoshow was totally dominated by Ford Motor Company and the Lincoln Motors . Oh Yeah!

I just got back from the Chicago Autoshow at McCormick I sat in the Back and Front Seat of the New Taurus SHO and let me tell you it is something special. The Workmanship is first rate. The Knobs I tried on all makes and models and the SHO were superb not a squeak and they were solid. You will really like it. I’m getting $50 for a Test Drive of a New Ford even though the SHO will not be out until June 2009 sold as a 2010 Model. I sat in the New 2009 Ford F-150 and the New 2009 Dodge RAM and would NOT agree with LLN or the other mag my verdict goes with the Ford on the inside. I found the Knobs and switch more secure with the Ford F-150 and I came away with an annoying squeak from the Dodge RAM on one of the switches . I do like the Dodge RAM’s exterior styling better than any other Pickup Truck and have several variations on the Truck on hand and the interior is nice. The folks at LLN do NOT know what they are talking about when it comes to the F-150 interior it is very Good and so is the dodge except for the knob squeal. I saw the Hyundai Genesis Coupe and sat in the Gensis Sedan it is a nice car. would I say its the best Hmmm no. I saw both engine choices for both Couple and sedan so that would be 4 engines and range in HP from 290, 306, and 375 HP- the 375 was a V-8 same price as SHO, but I would definitely go with the SHO. I saw the GT-R and that is nice too. Two promising Electric concepts from Chyrsler that I enjoyed. Hyundai is a company to be reckoned with they have a phenomenal Concept vehicle that believe that or not is developed with the Parent company I believe of Bayer Aspiriin called Bayer Materials but looks super and very Futuristic the Vehicle was call Imode very well done. If this is the Future of Hyundai products it looks good indeed. I sat in the New Chevy Camaro-not a fan but it is well executed and Ford if your listening Chevy has a naturally aspirated 6.2L sitting in there giving a base(not rated) 426 HP so give your Ford 6.2L Hurricane 526 HP just starting then after massage it with a Supercharger and 3 or 4 and Turbo chargers you can scale it to 2000 HP in the Mustang! The Mustang Looked Great the GT500 and the regular Mustang. The Buick Lacrosse I saw and the outside is ok a little tacky but i don’t care for the dash. its like it sank in Quicksand look.

I agree, the new SHO does peak my interest (with a little skepticism) as does the Dodge Ram and Hyundai. Sadly, I think the main attraction of this show will be more of the plug for Transformers than for actual cars. Don’t get me wrong, I’m completely stoked for this movie but I thought the point of a car show was really to put the cars in the center stage, not an 18 ft fictional robot. Just weird.

This is where I might go on my day off to check these things out in person. The Ford Taurus SHO for sure. Dodge RAM and Hyundai Genesis. This is my Home Town Chicago and all of my Ford Fan’s from LLN can meet me here Just ask for BK2009 at McCormick Place
