Here at Leftlane, we spend a lot of time focusing on new cars. But that doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate a good classic car show — especially when its aim is to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity. Which leads us to the Fleetwood Country Cruize In, an annual event held a couple hours north of the U.S.-Canadian border.
The vintage car show takes place at the estate of car collector and philanthropist Steve Plunkett. What began as a 400-car show five years ago has ballooned into a 3000-vehicle extravaganza complete with a massive charity dinner, celebrity appearances, an aerobatics show, and over 15,000 attendees.
Held on the outskirts of London, Ontario, the show attracts a great deal of local interest, but also draws in Americans and Canadians from hundreds of miles away.

Looks just like my house, except for the part about matching guest house or the new addition for the 30’s Caddies or the display space for the rest of the 46 or the acreage or all the people or all those beautiful cars staged on the park-like yard. Yep, other than that it’s pretty close. Lucky bastard.

johnny, it is something to see. The show is less than 30 minutes from where I live. Last year I couldn’t get near the place it was so full. Police were re-routing traffic. Not your typical Canadian property, eh?

We stopped by late in the afternoon and had already missed a lot of cars that had already left. Next year, we’re going to head over early morning for sure.

That is a pimp-ass Cadillac, I’d love to have one of those.
