Neat idea, but the Mustang still needs a diet, not a buffet of cool bells and whistles. Weight is already a killer. If the Camaro was such a winner, why has Ford consistantly kicked it's @ss in sales with the Mustang? I'm still glad to see them pull that old dog out of the cemetary - competition is a great thing, let's hope the Slomaro can bring it.

“They should bring back the T-top to these new muscle cars.
It could be the first T-top mustang. But I think that would be too “coolâ€? for ford, or maybe they’ll put it in their European release.”

Mustangs had optional T-tops from 1979 through 1988.

Why didn't they use the money and tech to make the Tbird with the retractable top?

Alright! Cool, now instead of the Mustang weighing 15 tons, it'll weigh about 25! The New Ford Mustang Bradley fighting vehicle edition.

Wouldn't this in turn make the car much heavier? The whole idea of a sports car is to lighten the load so its quick. If they decided to make it a hard top conv. they would have to increase the horsepower to keep the same performance spec sheet. I don't think it would be a smart move.

They should offer a hardtop convertible and a soft top convertible (for those who dont want to pay the extra price/or for those who dont want to have to worry about hardtop convertible messing up)

I don't see why not. Pontiac has the G6 convertible with a folding hardtop. The only drawback is it would increase the price of the car by around 6K from where the convertible is at now.

I think that would be awesome. If they can keep those sleek lines of the coupe and then VIOLA! it's a convertible, that's just cool.
