2010 Camaro options leaked [Updated with pricing!]

10/13/2008, 1:20 PM

By Andrew Ganz

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is still several months away from showing up in dealer showrooms, but prospective buyers have something to tide them over before they take delivery. An enthusiast website leaked a list of standard and optional equipment – as well as pricing – for each of the new Camaro’s trim levels.

Leaked by CamaroZ28.com, the pricing list reveals few surprises, though it does confirm beyond all suspicions that the V8 engine – expected to make up just a small portion of overall sales – will apparently only be available on the SS trim levels. GM has long been downplaying the V8’s power and the automaker is expected to heavily market the more efficient V6 versions. The RS appearance package will be available on all but the base LS variant, and pricing ranges from $1,200 to $1,750.

Below the pricing list, you’ll find the standard and optional equipment that was leaked earlier this month by Camaro5.com.

Mine would price out at 31,340. LT2 w/RS & sunroof, auto

I think Red. Or silver.

That’s kind of a lot of coin for what for me, would be a toy. I think a used ______ might be a better choice.

The LT1 with RS will probably be 50% of the build
First year average trans price will push $30k.
I’m very interested to see how much share the facelifted Mustand WILL lose.

So they are charging extra for the spare tire now? What’s the deal there?

As much as I like the looks of this car… it is just too large and too heavy to spark my interest.

Auto manufacturers have to nickel and dime like the airlines. Watch, they’ll start charging for a second key and some other things
