Some things in life are just too good to be true. Such is the case with the images of the 2010 Mazda 3 5-door we brought you yesterday. Originally believed to be leaked photos of a pre-production concept, it has been discovered that the images are actually just Photoshop renderings.
The images were first posted on Russia’s Render.ru, but quickly spread to several automotive sites.
Laurens van den Acker, Mazda ’s design chief, said the new Mazda3 would showcase a new design direction, which led us to believe we were looking at the real deal. The creator of the renderings did a spot on job incorporating Mazda’s Nagare design theme as well as combining concept with production design elements.
With a launch date set for 2009, it should be too much longer until Mazda gives us an idea of what the real Mazda3 will look like.
