The ATS will start from $33,990 including destination, which is about on par with many of its Japanese and German rivals and $1,805 less than the benchmark BMW 328i. Of course, that price nets the ATS's base engine, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that is among the least potent motors in the class with 200 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque.
All motors will be paired with a standard six-speed automatic, while the turbo four will feature an optional six-speed manual. All-wheel-drive will be available on the two more powerful mills.
Cadillac did not release standard equipment lists or options pricing. Expect those details, along with fuel economy info, to be announced closer to when the ATS goes on sale this summer.
