The first 2013 Chevrolet Trailblazer has rolled off GM's Rayong, Thailand production plant on Monday. That model is a fully-loaded LTZ with a 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine and it was met by the factory's 5,200 employees, suppliers, and the country's dealers. The SUV will be exported to over 50 markets, including in Southeast Asia, though it will not yet arrive in the US.

The mid-size, body-on-frame truck has seating for seven and is produced alongside the Colorado pick-up, as the two share many major components. The Colorado is also unlikely to arrive in North America until the 2015 model year.

The Trailblazer is powered by one of two four-cylinder turbodiesel engines. The base one displaces 2.5 liters and make 150 horsepower along with 258lb-ft of torque. The larger 2.8 makes 180 horsepower and 346lb-ft. Either can be paired with a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic, depending on market. More engines, likely gas-burning ones, will be introduced for other markets later on.
