$2M Karlmann King SUV targets Dubai market
The V10-powered behemoth draws inspiration from stealth jets and can be configured with armor.
A mysterious startup has revealed the Karlmann King, an ultra-exclusive SUV aimed squarely at wealthy Emirati falconers.
The massive SUV features a faceted exterior styling, drawing inspiration from early stealth jets. It can be configured with four seats for the ultimate in space, or up to seven seats for carrying a family or team.
Despite a carbon-fiber exterior, the entry-level King weighs in at 4,500 pounds and jumps to 6,000 pounds with optional bulletproof armor. Luckily a 6.8-liter V10 should help offset the heft, driving all four wheels and huge off-road tires.
Buyers can customize the opulent interior to taste. Entertainment options include a 4K TV, PS4 and hi-fi sound system.
Prices are said to range from $2 million to nearly $4 million, depending on individual options. Like the Jeep Wrangler-based Rezvani Tank, the King is presumably underpinned by something much less spectacular, though the company is unlikely to name the donor vehicle.
