250,000th Cadillac CTS sold

08/09/2006, 12:03 PM

By admin

Cadillac today crossed the quarter million mark for CTS sales with the delivery of two Cadillac CTS sedans to twin sisters Tara and Robin Luyber of Oakhurst, N.J. Which of the Luyber sisters owns the car that is precisely the quarter-millionth CTS? Given that the cars were purchased in tandem at Gold Coast Cadillac, the top-selling CTS dealership, that race officially ends in a tie. “The 250,000 th CTS sold marks an important moment for Cadillac,” said general manager Jim Taylor. “CTS sales increased in each of its first four years on the market, an unusual phenomenon in our industry. We’re very proud that consumers have reacted so positively to this car.” CTS sold more than 61,000 units in the U.S. in 2005, compared to roughly 38,000 units in 2002, an increase of 60% over that period.

It shows that brand investment pays off and US automakers can make cars that people want to buy. Also GM wants to show that people under 50 (and female too) are buying Caddys.

I want a funky little jewish princess
A grinder; a bumper, with a pre-moistened dumper
A brazen little jewish princess
With titanic tits, and sand-blasted zits
She can even be poor
So long as she does it with four on the floor…..

Aww yeah. I’ll take the one in the yellow shirt.

Aren’t they a bit young (Like 40 years too young) to be driving a Caddy? And what’s with the “Oh what a feeling, Toyota” jump in the second picture?

HAVE A 2005 CTS, EVERY BIT AS GOOD AS A 5 SERIES OR E SERIES FOR $15,000 LESS, JUST AS A Z06 IS JUST AS GOOD AS ANYTHING EUROPE HAS TO OFFER FOR HALF THE PRICE IF NOT MORE. SMARTEN UP AMERICA, STOP SUPPORTING ALL THOSE FOREIGN BRANDS, START SUPPORTING THE USA. WE HAVE THE ENGINEERING AND THE TECHNOLOGY TO BE WORLD BEATERS. STOP BEING SNOBS AND STOP PISSING AWAY ALL YOUR MONEY TO MAKE AN IMPRESSION ON YOUR NEIGHBORS WITH YOUR NEW NENZ OR BMW IN THE DRIVEWAY. TAKE PRIDE IN BEING AMERICAN, ITS WHAT THIS COUNTRY NEEDS MORE OF!!

amlor, are you insane in the membrane? Take pride in being American means spending your hard earned cash in sub-par automobiles? The CTS is a nice car if you don’t compare it to the Europeans (like the 3 series or C-class). If you think a CTS is every bit as good as a 5 series or E-class, then you’re dellusional.

Thanks for the laugh Amlor, That was funny. Sarcasm makes for a good joke.

My son crosshopped the CTS and ended up buying a Hyundai Sonata because it was a much better built, higher quality ride.

thank you sean. people are retarded. unfortunately people like ED, anonymous and his son, are the very reason this country is going to hell in a handbasket! by the way anonymous – what the hell is cross hopping??? did you mean cross shopped??? the two of you must look great cross hopping around in your POS tinbox!! As for you Ed, you must be anonymous’ son!! FOOLS!!!

amlor and Sean haven’t been driving very long it seems. Hyundai has been coming on strong for a long time now. Meanwhile GM is just fading away… Yeah, the CTS is priced like a BMW and built like a Cavalier. The Sonata is a much better built car for materials and build quality. No question there.

Hyundai is under the industry average, but it is above Volvo, Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, Saab and some other notable automanufacturers that we usually asume are good quality cars. And right now Cadillac is four manufacturers from the top of the list (information from JD power and associates, 2005 vehicle dependability study). Also I’ve read many reviews on both the CTS and Sonata, and the CTS seems to be a better car overall.
SO your wrong my friends (both anonymous’s that said the Sonata is better) the Sonata is not a better car than the CTS. The Sonata isn’t a bad car, but by no means is it a GREAT car. Neither is the CTS, but it’s higher ranked in dependability.
You all are f*cking haters, you don’t have to go banging on people for their own stupidity. If you think you made a smarter choice, then good for you. But you better have proof before calling a car worse than another one.

The CTS is the biggest hunk of garbage in the Cadillac lineup at the moment. When the new one appears, the DTS will be the biggest pile of crap. But old people buy Cadillacs anyways so who cares.

It’s funny these anti domestic people on this forum, they could’nt afford a nice car working at the QuikeMart anyway. How do you know anything about what a new CTS is like? Caddy ranks right up thier with Lexus for quality per 100 vehicles. No European car has ever ranked high in reliability and quality. granted they rank well in design, high tech and price , that’s about it. Are you called Lefty because of what you do in Mommy’s basement with her Cosmo magazine? Older people buy Lexus and most European cars as well because they are usually the one’s who can afford them.
If someone crosshoped between a Sonata and a CTS then it was because they found out the Caddy was out of their price range, because that is two totally different classes of cars. Crosshopping bwtn a Sonata and say a Camry or a Impala, that would make a little more sense. Anonymous, your son must be stupid. What would you rather be seen in if you could afford either, a CTS or a Sonata. I had a Sonata as a rental last week, nice car, but i was embarrassed to be seen in it. It’s that “Hundai” reputation. Cheap cars for less then successful people to finance for 6 years.
