Wow..Whats up with all the racial comments. Deep down we are all very much alike. Don’t let one persons ignorance or hatred change the way you feel about an entire race. Believe it or not but we have different values and beliefs according to the the environment we were raised in. No matter your race or gender how you grew up determines the person you are. Think about it….If you were born & raised in China, you’d more than likely speak Chinese. Its not rational to determine something so important from a small group of people.

My comments are meant to be witty, there meant to back-up my views, and try to understand yours. I didn’t start attacking you, and neither did anybody else. The reason were in this little argument is because you have a massive disrespect for a person who was innocently killed. As well, you have a massive misconception of rap. I don’t care if you hate it, however, some people do. However, you shouldn’t make sterotypical comments that are so wrong it makes you look stupid. James, you obviously havn’t been listening, your knowledge of the rap industry is fed to you in a silver platter by the media, as i’m sure’s the case with everything in your life, somebody has to show you strait through it. Violence and Guns in general, isn’t rap, the rap you think rap is, is listened to by mostly relitively black, poverity ridden communities. They have gangs, and this is y u have the connotation guns and violence goes with rap. Infact, most real rap, sorry, i’m sure your not aware of this, it isn’t usually shown through the media, is actually about peace, and hope for those who grew up in not so well backgrounds. However, that has changed with the new wave of rap, which ironically, sells, partly because of the violence and gang affilations it has.

It amazes me anybody would say some of the things you have said about somebody who was killed

For your sake, hopefully your still in junior high and your maturity level hasn’t quite leveled off yet and you’ll grow out of it, if not, i’m very very sorry for you and i hope you’ll be happy with your 9-5 job which you probably hate, and maybe, maybe, you’ll begin to relize how very wrong you were.

Exactly, very well put, there are houndreds of thousands of rap artists out there that are real music artists, however, popular culture have steared us away and onto a more main stream sound. Personally, i’m not a fan of the newer rap, however, 90 percent of my music collection is 80’s-90’s rap that is true rap. It’s fine people like the new stuff, it’s there opinion, but those that don’t like it, need to atleast realize, there is other rap out there that is ‘real’ music. Even if you don’t like it, lots of people do, and it’s music just as is every other genre, not just ‘noise pollution’

Ricardo Head, it should be an embarrasment for LLN to have somebody like you on there website, “tupac was great other then he got shot up….thankfully”, who the hell do you think you are to be glad that somebody got shot and killed. I don’t care if you dont’ like him or respect him and what he did, however houndreds of thousands of other people did. People looked up to him and his messages. He got killed because of violence, while he was trying to stop it and stop society from turning there backs on people. Again, it’s unbelivable to me that you would be glad somebody who did nothing but try to help give hope to people, and from coming from what he came from, turned his life into something great.

Sorry to get off on this tangent of music on an automotive site, however, i think it’s prudent to discuss some of the issues that people are disucussing, it’s truley a disgust, some of the comments on this post.

Everyone stereotypes rap based on the biggest main stream artists that they hear of, the ones they see on MTV for a few seconds, and after that brief exposure to rap they’ve already decided what ALL rap is like, a stereotype in its purest form. RIcardo Head, the reason people love Tupac is he had songs FULL of amazing messages, like Changes for example, songs that provided inspirational hope for many, that someday society won’t turn its back on those urban poor, that someday prejudice can be eliminated from everyday life. It’s a shame he had to go so soon, I don’t think you’ve listened to enough of his music, clearly.

It’s one thing not to like one genre of music, or even a particular artist, however, calling a genre of music as ‘noise pollution’, because you don’t listen or understand it. You know wats fed to you on a silver spoon by the media. All the rap that might be the main stream hits that sell, doesn’t consitute all rap. Rap is a huge genre thats been around since the late 70 and not until recently has this new main-stream genre that has come along. Some of the greatest artists and musicians ever were rap artists. Maybe you don’t like 50, and thats fine, however don’t talk **** about a genre of music, you obviously have new idea about, and that your only impression and taste of is what the general media feeds you over the air waves. Somebody obviously likes this ‘noise pollution’ if it’s one of the best selling genres of music there is.
