madcapp- SO you think all Republicans are behind this little scheme? Cause as far as I'm concerned, Bush has his hands deep in oil and so do quite a few others, and this war was never needed...

but it's not just Republicans. Odd thing is, it was Bush who suggested offshore drilling that marked prices dropping this year, not a Democrat. And it's a Republican who's offering to drill of our own soil. It's some Democratic ideals that have got us locked in into NOT drilling on our own soil. You can't just point the finger at one party; I'm not too political myself, but both parties are so eschewed from what they originally represented, and both parties are so eschewed about their goals, I wouldn't go with either. I'd rather just not vote, all the candidates and party members in the last 10 to 50 years haven't been WORTH electing. I got excited about Ron Paul there for a while, but he just didn't take his campaign in the right spot and the media blind sided him. Don't get too caught up into conspiracy theories.

I';m still oaying $3.339.
gas prices R lalling Bcuz te GOP's oil buddies R triyng to keep the Obamster iff his throne. Not gonna happen.

I wonder if Catherine L. Rossi is prety,. (ske's not)

OKC has refineries, & so ndoes N.J., so those prices R usually the lowerst.

Anybody who cthinks that Republicans R a good idea is stopid, biut doens't neccesarily deserve tro B shot.
democrats R usually terrible, but the Obamster has cum out of nowhere to rescu us from BS red/blue politics.

All "conservatives" R crazy

I say we drill.

da republicans caused high gas prices by allowing their poil buddies to gaoughe us.

McCan is rite on 1 thing, though ... we should take an "all of the above" approach on NRG. That means Nukes, wind, electricity, somlar, hydrogen and ... oil.

I agree that the rapid spike in oil prices, and gasoline rising from its traditionally stable $1.00 to $1.25 a gallon is directly attributable to Bush’s decision to have a fradulent war in Iraq.

If there was no Iraq war, regular unleaded would be $1.40 a gallon now. Maybe it'd B lower, bcuz the russians would B kickjking in supply. I say $1.40 sted $1.20 2 accoun t 4 nu demand in indochina

Nightblack, you couldn't have asked an easier question. The rapid spike in oil prices, and gasoline rising from its traditionally stable $1.00 to $1.25 a gallon is directly attributable to Bush's decision to have a fradulent war in Iraq. That's what has destabilized the middle east oil market. If there was no Iraq war, regular unleaded would be $1.20 a gallon now, and over the last 6 years. All the sabre rattleing and ego posturing between the US administration, and oil producing nations just an intentional device/gimmick to inject uncertianty into the oil market and destabilize/drive up prices. And that's just going to continue as long as Republicans control the administrative branch of government. If you don't understand that reality, you're blind. Oil prices fall, Bush finds a new way to cause global political friction...its a simple formula.

Well, last election, prices fell…then right after voting… right back up.
Many news bits about this happening in the past, on the internet.
-------------------------------
I forgot to add... just type in "gas prices fall before election", and see the pages pop up.

Have a good week.

Madcapp
Its comments like that, that show the intelligence level fo some people. Why don't you tell us why the republicans caused high gas prices, and how your precious Obama is going to bring the "change" he keeps talking about. Its simple economics, not the evil republicans. We're the ones trying to get oil prices down in this country by creating a greater supply... instead of alternative fuels that won't make a difference for years to come.

It's.... $3.37 here in NY. NY gas prices are ridiculous. I doubt they will ever climb down to previous levels. People will continue to profit from it.

Madcapp...

It's been mostly Republicans who have been pushing for drilling on our land. Quite a few Democrats outright oppose it. I don't generalize however because really I don't consider either party to be... that intelligent, or that unified for that matter.

Any who, that was about the most ignorant comment I've read all day.

AAA does their damnedest to manipulate the market. Why? They want to sell you insurance! They push for more roads to be built; they never really address mass-transit; they never lower your rates as they have some fool excuse why they cannot because of this and that. And, oh yeah, policitics? You betcha!

Madcapp, gooch2000.....

Both economy and elections are playing a big roll in the drop of gas, now back under $3.00 buck, manly economy, but as well the fear that big oil has with alternative fuels, if gas stay's down after November then the election played a small roll, and it's mostly the BIG FAT nice Fed. grants for alternative fuels that big oil has an eye on. with the change of political party in the White House there will be more money for green tech. but if gas stays at a low price, we the people will not jump on the bandwagon and cry out for alternative cheaper fuel. Hay come on now, we all know that big oil made there money, soon they will be in our back yards drilling for "BLACK GOLD", so it's going to play out that way, gas stays low, people start buying, the economy will start moving again, and big oil keeps control of the fuel market...
