Abt Sportsline has announced a new tuning program for the Audi TT with three engine variants: TT-R, TT-Sport, and TT-iS. The range-topping TT-R puts out 355 horsepower and will hit 62 mph in 5.1 seconds. The TT-Sport has a more modest 270 horsepower, and the 240 hp TT-iS strikes a balance between fuel economy and performance thanks to a high-tech engine management system. The front and rear fascias get new intakes, and side skirts complete the sporty look. A rear wing that replaces the TT’s pop-up spoiler and 19″ wheels complete the package. Images after the jump…

Maybe it’s slower because it’s quattro, and you lose alot more HP to the wheels. The M3 probably has more WHP. That would be my guess if this TT is indeed slower than an M3.

Quattro! Although the S4 with a similar power rating has a similar 0-60…
But for the TT it’s not all about going in a line…throw some curves at this thing!
I’ll take one…but leave the stock spoiler please?

How do all these silly European tuner cars make the news?
I’ve seen Veilside rice rockets that looked more elegant and deserving of the spotlight than some of these things.

Is it just me or that above comment is confusing. Anyways, just thought I’d let you know …most European countries do not drive on the right.

^^^wrong, most european countries DO drive on the right side of the road. Only a few like the UK do they drive on the left…

UK and Japan really only stand out to me as far as driving on the left is concerned. Maybe I’m in the minority, but I like a small, understated spoiler to provide mild downforce and improve aesthetic appeal. I would definitely think a huge wing on the back would be stupid. Here, I think it’s a reasonable amount of rear-end hyperbole. To me, it’s a very pretty car. I’m biased towards anything that has a post-modern high-tech gunmetal appearance, though. I still don’t know what wcnhl57 is talking about.

A stock 335i just as quick for less dough and a better warranty.

For you the are not happy about the 0-62 look at the Porsche Carrera 4S. It has 355 hp and is around 1.500 kg and is 4.8 too 60mph. The TT is 5.1 to 62 mph so that would mean it was around 4.9 to 60.

I agree, if you really want the ABT upgrade, go for everything except the tacky rear wing. Might as well leave the adjustable spoiler alone and save a few pennies for other worthwhile upgrades.
