AC Schnitzer launches body kit for E92 BMW 3-Series

11/23/2006, 6:12 PM

By admin

Tuner of all things BMW, AC Schnitzer, has unveiled a new kit for the new E92 3-Series coupe. The company intends to offer performance upgrades for the 335i turbo model, but those are still in the early stage of development.

The current tuning program consists of lowered suspension, larger 20 inch wheels, antiroll bars, high-performance tires, and so on. Visually, the car is distinguished from stock model by its aggressive body kit — with new front and rear fascias, side skirts, and spoilers — and custom wheels. Gallery after the jump…

ick! Looks better stock.
AC Schnizter’s styling has been so repetative. All there cars look the same.
The AC-Look is getting old.

My stock 335i looks better. Easily one of the best looking cars around these days, as long as you get the 18″ wheels.

Whoooooooooooosh!

why bother? get a new set of wheels MAYBE, if you really want to, but ive seen a couple around LA, and they look great already. not big on the taillamps though…someone should get on that.

Great looking automobile in stock form, but this der wiener schnitzer is both hacked and tacked on. I’ll pass. What happened to Schnitzer, they used to make some decent stuff?

Although most of this kit is less than stellar, I really like the front fascia. While it could work better with the lines of the car, the angles give it a solidness that I think is missing from a lot of other body kits. The wheels aren’t half-bad either.

i agree with nowei, but only the front fascia, because the side skirts are useless, and the rear just looks plain bad. they could well have left the rear stock and replaced the taillight lenses with clear ones and it would have looked great.

Yeah, the overall package isn’t bad, except the back. Too plain-jane compared to the front.

You can take your bimmer to Tijuana and have that same look tacked on for about $50.
.
Or just go buy a used Grand Am………..for about $40.

Hey, who glued on those painted hockey-sticks to the rocker panels???

The tacked-on reflectors on the deck-lid make the back-end look like an Avalon or some other non-descript Toyota

BMW makes fine road machines for people who wish to enjoy driving. Where does this bling bling rubber band tire thing fit in? Perhaps on an ultra smooth racetrack? Then again, in Los Angeles CA, home of bling bling cars the rutted roads bash apart, it should fit right in!

Looks like ****. The tacked on rocker panel piece looks cheap, the front facia is ok, the rear looks bad, as does the spoiler. The wheels are horrible, too. AC ruins Bimmers.
