Thanks Renton, that’s accurate for the most part but I have to disagree with the “typical” and “sad” part. The fact is whether you like it or not I am fortunate enough to be in a position to know more than a few things. What I said about myself in the other topics are accurate and here’s a hint, leftlanenews.com knows that. Unlike you, I’m not afraid to partially come out of the closet.

1c3d0g, then what am I doing driving a MB and Volvo most of the time? I bash all cars for their flaws and praise them for their merits. All I’ve seen from you are one sided biased comments that you can’t prove anyway. We can move on when you start telling us about yourself. How bout by the car you currently own and drive?

I don’t know how $40K will sit with existing MDX customers. This marks a significant increase over the outgoing model. And knowing that the average transaction price of an Acura is around $32K (according to J.D. Power PIN) and the lack-luster sales performance of the “value-priced” RL, I wonder if many Acura customers will turn away from the new MDX? OR Acura’s price increase may have existing customers looking at new competition that they didn’t cross-shop before. For instance, the Mercedes-Benz M-Class is only $2K more, and many would surely opt for the three-pointed star over the “A”. Even in the face of decreased value.

Sorry lefty, I’m used to paying BMW 325i’s at US$70K here. So yea the MDX is cheap as hell in US.

Being a “cheap bastard” doesn’t neccessarily mean buying the least expensive item. I want to buy quality stuff but I don’t mind scrounging around for the best deal. This is a good value competitor in its market.

It looks like cartoon-movie version of the old MDX i.e uneccesary add-ons. The old MDX was very conservative but this design is doing a little…. too much.

gsh, that’s not bad, it’s about 74 lbs-ft per liter. The GL450 gets 339 out of a 4.7, ML350 gets 258 out of a 3.5, the X5 3.0i? 225 lbs-ft out of a 3.0L. They’re all around 75 lbs-ft per liter. Take your bias elsewhere.
